Description
Introduction of Bote Double-Convex (DCX) Lenses
Double Convex Lenses are composed of two convex surfaces with equal radii and can focus light into a point with a positive focal length. Both surfaces of the Double Convex Lenses are spherical and have the same radius of curvature.
When the object distance and image distance are equal or nearly equal, aberrations can be minimized and can be used in 1:1 imaging systems. If the conjugate ratio (object distance:image distance) is between 5:1 and 1:5, biconvex lenses are the best choice for reducing aberrations. Outside this range, plano-convex lenses are usually preferred.
Bote Double Convex Lenses provide uncoated and AR-coated lenses to meet your different applications in various wavelength bands. Anti-reflection coating options include UV, VIS, NIR, and SWIR. The double-sided anti-reflection coating of the Double Convex Lenses can greatly reduce the reflection on the surface of the component and increase its transmittance.
Bote provides biconvex lenses with a variety of substrate materials. Among them, K9 optical glass substrates are suitable for visible light and near-infrared band applications, germanium, silicon, zinc selenide, and calcium fluoride substrates are suitable for infrared band applications, and fused silica substrates are suitable for infrared band applications. It is suitable for UV band applications.
Application
Biconvex lenses are used in many fields because of their ability to condense light:
Optical instruments: magnifying glasses, microscopes, telescopes, etc, and used to focus light to magnify images.
Photography and Videography: Used in camera lenses to focus and adjust images.
Laser technology: used to focus the laser beam and improve the efficiency of the laser.
Lighting: In flashlights or stage lights, used to focus or disperse light to achieve the desired lighting effect.
Feature of Bote Double-Convex (DCX) Lenses
- Simple and efficient: The Biconvex lenses has a simple structure, stable optical performance, and is easy to manufacture and use.
- Wide application: Suitable for a variety of optical systems, Biconvex lenses of different materials and parameters can be selected according to needs.
- Good focusing ability: able to effectively focus light and improve the imaging quality and efficiency of the optical system.
