Description
Introduction of Bote Ultraviolet Mirrors
Bote Ultraviolet Mirrors are ideal for most commercially available light sources and are offered in both Deep UV (DUV) and Vacuum UV (VUV) enhanced coating options.
The DUV coating offers excellent reflection from 190nm to the long-wave infrared (LWIR), while the VUV coating has optimized reflection from 120nm to the LWIR.
These mirrors are designed for 0° angle of incidence and feature an aluminum-based coating for low polarization sensitivity.
Bote Ultraviolet Mirrors have an average reflectivity of greater than 85% across a specified range. The mirrors are available in diameters ranging from 5 to 50mm.
Note: The soft coating can be easily damaged by fingerprints and aerosols.
Do Mirrors Reflect UV?
The answer depends on the type of mirror. Standard mirrors, such as those with metallic coatings like aluminum or silver, reflect some UV light but are less efficient, especially for short wavelengths.
In contrast, specialized UV mirrors with dielectric coatings are designed to reflect UV wavelengths with high efficiency and minimal energy loss. These mirrors are commonly used in UV laser systems, medical equipment, and scientific research requiring precise UV beam control.
When selecting a mirror for UV applications, consider factors like reflectivity, coating durability, and wavelength range. Dielectric UV mirrors offer superior performance compared to metallic ones for high-precision tasks.
Whether you need a mirror for UV optics or laser systems, our advanced solutions ensure reliability and maximum reflectivity. Discover our UV mirrors today for optimal performance in your optical setups!
